Only administrators can delete pages. Anyone can mark pages for deletion using template:Delete; as in {{delete}}. It is preferable that you also include a reason after a pipe (|) in the delete template, for example: {{delete|this is spam}}, or {{delete|see discussion on its talk page}}. This reason will be displayed in bold within the rendered template banner. Once marked with the delete template, these pages automatically go into category:Pages for deletion so that a WikiIndex administrator can review the delete request, and take any appropriate action.

It is crucial to note, instead of deleting a specific page (maybe due to a typo, or a wiki site rename), in order to create it at another article page name, one must always use the 'move' function which simply renames an existing page!

Please note, we do not delete defunct, obsolete, dormant, offline, or abandoned wiki entries here on WikiIndex; we keep them all as a matter of posterity. We simply re-categorize them into one of the other sub-categories of category:Wiki status. The preferred method is to change the |status =   field of the wiki infobox template to match the name of the new relevant sub-category; some appropriate examples being: category:Dead, category:Dormant, category:Goal abandoned, category:Goal reached, or category:Archived (the latter being specifically for dead wikis which have a number of its pages saved by one or more of the archiving sites, such as the Internet Archive WaybackMachine at Archive.org, or the Webpage archive at archive.is). Historically, we used to change dead wikis by substituting the main Wiki infobox template into template:Inactive; we just changed the Wiki at the top of the template to Inactive; however, this Inactive template is now depreciated. Administrators must always use an informative edit summary when deleting, to avoid the need for users to ask why the said page was deleted. MediaWiki:Deletereason-dropdown contains several possible deletion reasons.

French: effacez des pages francophones

Seuls les administrateurs peuvent supprimer des pages. N'importe qui peut marquer les pages à supprimer l'aide du modèle:Supprimer; comme dans {{delete}}. Il est préférable que vous incluez aussi une raison après une pipe (|) dans le modèle de suppression, par exemple: {{delete|this is spam}}, ou {{delete|see discussion on its talk page}}; cette raison serez affiché en gras dans la bannière de modèle rendu. Une fois marqué, ces pages vont dans catégorie:Pages à supprimer de sorte qu'un administrateur peut examiner et prendre des mesures.

S'il vous plaît noter que nous ne supprimons pas défuntes, les entrées de wiki obsolètes, inactifs ou abandonnés ici sur WikiIndex; nous les gardons comme une question de la postérité. German: Seiten löschen

Nur Administratoren können Seiten löschen. Jeder kann Seiten zum Löschen markieren mit Template:Delete; wie in {{delete}}. Bitte beachte, dass wir Wiki-Einträge von nicht mehr existierenden, veralteten, eingeschlafenen oder aufgegebenen Wikis hier auf WikiIndex nicht löschen; wir erhalten sie alle der Nachwelt, als ein Teil der Geschichte der Wikisphere. Wir kategorisieren sie stattdessen neu, in eine der anderen Unterrubriken der Kategorie:Wiki-Status. Filipino: Pagtatanggal ng mga pahina

Ang mga tagapangasiwa lamang ang maaaring magtanggal ng mga pahina. Kahit sinuman ang maaaring magmarka ng mga pahina sa pagtatanggal gamit ang template:Delete; ang {{delete}}. Higit na mabuti pa na maglagay ka rin ng isang dahilan pagkatapos ng isang pipa (|) sa suleras ng pagtatanggal; halimbawa, {{delete|spam ito}}, o {{delete|tignan ang usapan sa pahina ng usapan nito}}; ipapakita ang dahilang ito sa bold sa ipinapakitang banner na suleras. Simula ng i-marka, mapupunta ang mga pahinang ito sa category:Pages for deletion kaya maaaring tignan at gawin ito ng isang tagapangasiwa.
