'Gardora' ist ein Kunstwort, das sich aus den Wörtern 'Garden' (Englisch: Garten) und 'Flora' (Lateinisch: Verzeichnis der lokalen Pflanzenwelt) zusammensetzt: Gardora bietet folglich - nomen est omen - Informationen über Garten und Gartenpflanzen als auch unmittelbar angrenzende Themenbereiche.
Gardora.at ist das erste und einzige Gartenwiki rund um Garten, Flora und die Grüne Branche in Österreich (zu erreichen auch via Gartenwiki.at und Gartenpedia.at): Gardora.at ist darüber hinaus das erste und einzige Gartenwiki im deutschsprachigen Raum.
