"The homebrew mobile phone club ( http://hbmobile.org ) is a collection of entrepreneurs, engineers and innovators looking to do cool things with mobile platforms. Despite what you might have heard in the media, we're not trying to hack mobile phone networks, displace the network operators or compete toe to toe with the commercial handset manufacturers. If anything, we're just impatient that the industry hasn't caught up with us, and we're inventing our own future."
